Let us get to know more about each one of the selection tools offered by PicsArt.
For this tutorial, we will be using the image above. It’s an image of a Green Apple.
You can make rectangular selections with the “Rectangular Selection Tool“.
You get two options with the Rectangular Selection Tool. These are the “Add” and the “Subtract”.
Below is a brief explanation of the two options.
“Add” option allows you to make multiple selections or add the two selections to make one complete selection.
Add option has an icon with a positive (+) sign on it.
“Subtract” option allows you to subtract a selection, with the current selection.
Subtract option has an icon with a negative (-) sign on it.
Note : The “Add” and “Subtract” option is available for “Marquee” as well as “Circular” selection tools too.
With the help of “Circular Selection”, you can make precise circular or oval selections.
You can make quick round selections in your image.

You do not get the two “Add” and “Subtract” options with the Brush Tool.
“Eraser Tool” can be used to erase all the mistakes.
What are the options of PicsArt Selection Tools?
At the top you get 6 more options to increase control over the selection. These are

The “copy” option will make a copy of the current Selection.
“Cut” option will cut out the selection so that you can,
Paste it in the desired area of the image.
You can also add a wide range of Effects to your Selection. You can add blur, sepia and other huge collection of PicsArt Effects.
“Crop Tool” enables you to crop out the Selection. If you crop the inner portion of the image. You will now get an image with a transparent background.
You can “inverse” the selected area with the unselected area or vise versa.
You also get an option to keep the Selection as a clipart. This tool has an icon with a heart shape.
How to use the PicsArt Selection Tools?
Step 1 : Open your image in PicsArt.
Step 2 : Go to Tools>Selection.
Step 3 : Start highlighting the image by selecting any desired selection tools such as Rectangular, Circular, Marquee etc. And,
Step 4 : Now you can Copy, Paste, Cut, Add Effects etc. to your selection.
Step 5 : Tap on the top right check mark (√) to save your progress.
