For this edit, I will be using the image above. I found this image on Pexels. And yes! You can always choose an image of your own choice.
In order to start the PicsArt Selection Tools. Go to PicsArt>Tools>Selection. A new window appears. You will now get to see all the available selection tools in the bottom bar. This includes the Rectangular, Circular, Brush, Eraser and the Marquee Tool. Let’s get to know more about PicsArt Selection Tool. Starting off with,
You can make rectangular selections with the Rectangular Tools.
You get two options with the Rectangular Selection Tool. These are the “Add” and the “Subtract”. You get this options with the other Two Selection Tools too. Below is a brief explanation of the two options.
(a.) Add: Add option will allow you to make multiple Rectangular Selection or Add the two Selection to make one complete selection. Add option has an icon with a positive (+) sign on it.
(b.) Subtract: Subtract option will allow you to subtract a rectangular selection, with the current selection. Subtract option has an icon with a negative (-) sign on it.
With the help of Circular Selection, you can make precise circular selections.
Just like the Rectangular Selection Tool above. You also get two additional options with the Circular Selection Tool.
The Brush Tool allows you to make complex selections, just like the Free Crop Tool.
You do not get any two options such as the above mentioned tools. The bursh tool can be used to make Selections based on a free manner. You can also control the size of the brush by sliding the button to the left or right.
Eraser tool is used to erase all the mistakes. Eraser Tool can also be used as a part of Selection tools by erasing all the unwanted areas in a creative manner.
Just like the brush tool mentioned above. You can adjust the size of the Eraser Tool by the same.
The Marquee Tool in PicsArt can be used to make quick selections by outlining an area.
(a.) Add: Add option will allow you to make a Selection or join any two selection to make one complete selection. Add option has an icon with a positive (+) sign on it.
(b.) Subtract: Subtract option will allow you to subtract a portion from the selection. Subtract option has an icon with a negative (-) sign on it.
At the top you get 6 more tools to increase control over the selection. These are Copy, Cut, Paste, Effects, Crop and Inverse. Let’s get to more about this tools.
1. Copy: The copy option will make a copy of the current Selection.

3. Paste: Paste it in the desired area of the image.
4. Effects: You can also add a wide range of Effects to your Selection. You can add blur, sepia and other huge collection of PicsArt Effects.
5. Crop: Crop Tool enables you to crop out the Selection. If you crop the inner portion of the image. You will now get an image with a transparent background.
6. Inverse: You can inverse the selected area with the unselected area or vise versa.
You also get an option to keep the Selection as a clipart. This tool has an icon with a heart shape.
